yes gun turret is distance control.

Gun turret Breda Safat 12,7mm.

I absolutely adore the P.180 Avanti. I've flown for weeks with that bird in FSX.

Not sure, but might very well be.

Anyway, the 102mm cannon was the largest calibre gun actually fired from a flying aircraft in WW2.
