I looked up the old road-going RG500 on e-bay the other day and nearly fell off my chair. One was going for £13,000!! Only 25 miles to the gallon if you're lucky.

Yea top money, that was the Gamma wasnt it?

It's such a shame that emissions and fuel consumption saw 2 strokes off.

One time we went to Cadwell for the British Superbikes. I was on a KR1S 250, the rest were on 'Blades, ZXR750's and FZR750's.

'Are you sure you're going to be able to keep up?' said Steve.

150 miles later they all wanted a go of my bike. They couldn't believe the performance.

135 mph from a 250 that weighed about the same as my boots, but in fairness, they had to keep stopping for me to fill up with petrol, again.

But Grin factor 12, Mr Sulu!!

I'm not sure anything available now would have that sort of appeal
