I'm all for it, so that everyone can have their say without having to wade through posts that don't interest them.
Wanna complain? I go to the speculation forum. Wanna talk about playing the game? I go to the other one. Whatever i do, i'm sure that my mood will not be spoiled because if someone starts dragging speculation into the gameplay forum or vice versa, a mod will prune their posts and move them to the other forum or just delete them if there are not enough of them to constitute a new thread. It would need some pretty alert moderation to work, but i'm all for it.

How about a "section" solely for the "devs"?
Where only they could post? All others could view. It seems (to me), the easiest and first problem to sort? Is communication. No one has the "right" to argue with the "devs" or the "moderators". That should be the rule and strictly enforced. Thoughts?
