ParaB may be right - a textbook case of how not to deal with customers. Instead, perhaps they should have taken the usual games industry approach, and said next-to-nothing before the release, and even less afterwards. I'm sure if I was in Luthier's position I'd wish I had.
Great post.

What a load of toss, Luthier was thick skinned enough to release a game in alpha state, and he has posted here since release when he knows that we all know half the stuff he told us during development was blatent lying i.e the game didn't run well at the Russian show because the PC's only had 2GB of ram. So im sure us having a dig about communication isnt going to ruin his nights sleep.

Once more that idiotic logic. No, that`s not liking or loving the game as you put it. The only right user approach now is waiting patiently for the game to be fixed, in the meantime not posting worthless rants on how you`re losing your faith bs. If those whiners did want the best for CloD, they wouldn`t spread false info of it being unplayable. That`s killing sales with the word of mouth.

No...whats killing COD is bad reviews of a broken product, if COD worked all the "whines" would go away.

The US release is on the 19th, and the sound is broken in MP. thats the problem carguy.

Apples and oranges. I am very patient when it comes to sim development. I fully understand the problems of developing a niche product with often very limited funds and a fickle customer base. Honest communication is the key in such cases. The guys at Battlefont, eSimGames, DCS and NeoQB/777 studios know how to interact with their customers.

Luthier&Co's communication with their customers OTOH seems only slightly better than their abysmal project management.

I still try to see the positive side though: it can only get better.

Valid point other than this wasn't released in the usual game industry standard now was it? your point there stands no ground whatsoever

Well I expected it to have a delayed message by now for the US release so I'm guessing it is actually being released then?

On that point we will have the new patch the day before or the day on release via steam, no Beta.

So I think we should wait a while before we carry on arguing.
