The E-4 was mentioned but i guess there's some extra work for that one. Apart from giving it the minengeschoss shells there's also some 3d modelling work involved (armored backrest, etc) and they will also have to model the automatic prop pitch system.

On the other hand, the E-1 is like an E-3 with different guns in the wings and slightly different wing textures (due the different gun bays), so that's why we got it first, it was faster to make. I tried it first thing after i installed the latest patch and i like it a lot, it's very good against fighters but not so good against bombers (like it probably should happen, bombers need cannons to bring them down).

As for the E-7 i don't know if it had any differences in engine or other systems, but i think the main characteristic is the ability to carry a drop tank. I'm not really sure about this, but it seems like the E-7 is actually an "E-4b" with drop tank ability. I think these came late into the battle.

As for your fps counter, to hide it type into the console: fps STOP HIDE
This will both stop the counter and hide the display. I think that if you type fps START HIDE it will reset the frame counter and hide it but it will keep counting in the background, but i'm not 100% sure about this.
