I have no idea how their Free Subscription business model will really work, but I could imagine this would work in a similar way as you can unlock certain weapons and airplanes in BOP, with the difference that once you have reached the experience criteria for unlocking, you will given a YES/NO choice for unlocking in combination with a micropayment of some Game currency which you can stock up on to have a positive balance. I don't have this game but I believe that's how it works with World of Tanks. Can anyone confirm?

So that would mean that the basic game is free, but if you want better/more airplanes/weapons and you have the necessary experience level for them, you'd have to pay for those. I wouldn't mind that, this would keep the devs interested in developing more in game content after initial developement.

Surely Birds of Steel will be much like BoP when it comes to weapons etc? Nobody has really complained about them and they work well

Who knows eh?

Thanks for the linkthough, i've got it saved to favourites. Can't wait for the BoS site to come up and suprise us like the BoP one did with a new plane added every so often!!

Very Nice. It would be nice to see something different now though, some cockpits or different planes and location. The Buffalo is such a ugly plane lol. Maybe at the Gamescon thing we see more planes huh?

I hope. Today some websites have a video of Birds of Steel, supposedly from Gamescon, but it is the same that was watched in may.

My knowledge of the Beaufighter is limited, but didnt the Finnish only have a few Blenhiems from the RAF, ordered before they sided with the Germans?

The Beaufighter wasnt used by them i don't think?

Then again KAV i could be wrong, its not my field of knowledge

Great pic by the way, is it from that site?

You are totally right.
They only had Blenheims, and the bluecircle badge was postwar.
I guess the possibility of having a northerntheatre just got me running.

The Beaufighter picture is from WoP homepage, screenshots.
