However the speed at which you can ctrl the prop pitch is much to slow to counter the engine behavior. It tends to let us fly constantly at a too slow tune (hanging on the prop in climb) or cte over reeves in dive.

I guess that the amount of increase at each click hve to be altered ?

Anyway, congrats to devs for this much expected patch
You have to keep the button pressed to make any noticeable pitch changes, because they are driven by an electric motor. According to a link posted here a couple of weeks ago, the pitch control system on the DB605 could turn the blades a mere 1.5 degrees per second, so it wasn't really fast in reality.

I haven't tested if this matches what we have in the sim, but the engines are different as well (we have DB601s) so there could be differences. Also, 10 minutes on the clock instrument corresponds to 1 degree, so if you keep the button pressed and you see it turning 15 minutes per second it would match the specs of the DB605 system.

OK i tried lots of more sorties and in MP i ALWAYS get the soundbug sooner or later. 1C REALLY has to fix that bug with a hotfix since its a major gamebreaker. Not just for me.

you did this?

in Windows control panel: hardware and sound-> Sounds -> Playback -> [device] -> Properties -> Advanced -> Exclusive Mode
UNCHECK this.

Sorry Chaps, I thought it worked, but longer testing shows it doesn't.

On at least 2 occasions when I lost sound it seemed to happen at the same time that a msg flashed on screen warning of an incoming bomber raid (SYN), so thought that was the problem, but since then have lost it for no apparent reason.

I tried this fix as well- it made no difference for me. Still losing sounds at unpredictable times.

~S~

Try to lower down sound quality in control panel, you probably have 98kHz set, it's way too high, you are not even able to hear difference if set to 44kHz, I dont have issue with loosing sound but always may help...
