Blackdog; when you say you will go out and test, I hope you don't mean to suggest that you will be testing whether you are epileptic or not....
I'd love to see a video showing the new prop effects. Considering the recent graphical advances in the patches (or, rather, attempts as some might say) it's nice to see the sim progressing this way. |

I have to agree with some of the above posters, and the devs.
I spent last Saturday at the annual Planes of Fame airshow, which is mostly composed of warbirds, and this game seems to have done the props perfectly. (Note: I don't have the game yet, waiting for US release (yes I know about JustFlight)) When viewed head on, the props are invisible to barely-visible, and viewed from the side they're solid black ellipses, just like in all the screenshots and videos I've seen here. And yes, there were plenty of examples for me to work off of. (Ignore the F-15) |

I flew a few sorties in QMB and to be honest with you the change is very well done. It's definitely noticeable under the right conditions (low RPM and/or a light source aligned behind you) but it's also discreet, definitely not overdone. In fact, i think that the effect is so subtle that it could probably be lost in the youtube compression. |
