Since this latest Steam patch and hotfix, I've had the following new problems:
1. concrete coloured rectangular strips on the sea texture - never had this before but seen it on others' screenshots; 2. prolonged (5 mins or so) drop in fps during a small mission (4 planes only) after going to outside view of an enemy then returning to cockpit view, over sea, fps dropped to 6-7 fps, I normally have between 40 - 80 fps in usual circumstances. [Earlier this week I updated my driver to nvidia's latest beta 275.27 W7 64bit, but not seen any oddities in other games so far] 3. no sound until about 10 minutes into a mission, thereafter certain sounds intermittant or missing completely - again never had missing sound in an actual mission before, only in the known issue with track replays and sounds that have never been there as far as I know (e.g. train sounds) ;

Working SLI-Bits to edit with nvidia inspector.
Create custom profile and add launcher.exe. edit: SLI compatibility bits (DX10): 0x000000F5 & NVIDIA predefined SLI mode on DirectX 10: SLI_PREREFINED_MODE_DX10_FORCE_AFR I get 99% usage on both GPUs in most of the scenes, cockpit view however seems broken and I get about 1/4FPS of external view and some flickering. Driver used: 275.27 Beta / Win7 64 Sys used: Intel Core i7 930 @ 4.2Ghz Asus Rampage III Extreme 12GB Corsair Dominator GT 1600Mhz 2x Geforce GTX580 SLI @ 850Mhz Creative X-Fi Titanium HD Dell U2711 2560x1440 Last edited by stl; 05-22-2011 at 05:52 PM. |

I had the graphic " anomlies" . However, after I updated my Nvidia drivers (version released 4-18-11 ) the " anomlies " are gone. Never had sound issues. Intel i7 960 tray [ 3.2/8/4.8GT], 6GB -1600 Corsair, GTX 560Ti 2GB. |

The sound issues may also be caused by this driver package as it installs an nvidia HD audio driver - new to their driver package afaik (I think for the actual Fermi cards like the GTX480 that can output audio through the hdmi as they have n+1 sound incorporated on the card, if I'm correct about this), again Guru3d forums were reporting sound issues caused by this driver, the thing to do is, apparently, to delete it from add/remove programs then restart and let windows see it and install a generic HD audio driver which you can turn off in control panel settings.
