TIR is wonderful. I suggest turning off all of the degrees of freedom except the x and y (ie the left-right and up-down rotation) until you have the hang of it. You can then introduce the other degrees of freedom as wanted (for ww2 a/c I only use the left-right lateral motion in addition to the x and y). If you try to use them all at the start you may get seasick! To turn them on/off just untick the boxes for each axis on the advanced view profile details .

However your issues are likely the placement of the sensor.. mess about with that and get the 3 leds in the centre...

There are some on the Natural Point Forums for you to download. I use the optimized flight for all round smoothness. Here is a link.

ps Why does this forum not have all the features of other forums? Like hyperlinking etc

Hopefully this month I can order TrackIR as well. I manage okay at the moment, but obviously trackIR is the way to go.

Before you start tweaking profiles...

MAKE SURE THE TRACKING IS ALL SET UP RIGHT!

Check that you are getting a clear, steady set of tracking points in the set-up screen, with no extraneous light interference. Move your head around and check the movement of tracking points, make sure you have an image in the CENTRE of the setup screen and that no points disappear as you move.

Get this bit wrong...and you'll never get a decent setup
