Spit Tracers Guide

I normally put tracers (white incendary) in gun one and gun eight.
The problem I have is why each individual gun has to have only one type of ammo which was not the case historically.
I have not been able to setup a standard "Main belt" which should be an option.
One AP, one dewit, two ball and one incendary tracer would be my standard belt for all guns.

I have put 1 in 5 as tracer. Just select the gun then select the ammo type you want and press add or insert. then save

How do you pick individual guns? Can I use different cannon shells on the 109? Can I use yellow, red and white tracers on one wing of the spit?
