looking like it maybe, might be, could be, possibly is, a DEP problem... .
mem dia @ several passes appears okay given that no other program/ app returns a c0000005 error

Right, some more testing.
I turned off crossfire in ccc and turned off AA in the game and applied it in ccc together with quality on all settings and vsync on (but no triple buffer) plus cat AI to lowest slider position ( I know its not off ) and the result was smooth, stutter free and no flashing texture. I have also upgraded to cat 11.4 and lates CAP, 11.3 cap5 (no importance since crossfire is siabled). So untill crossfire is fixed it works again

I ran the ‘Black Death’ track with each of the tests below, and recorded the fps using the in-game display. All other settings were unaltered, driver settings at default.
AMD driver ver. 11.3, beta patch ver. 14214: avg.41, max.94, min10 AMD driver ver. 11.4, beta patch ver. 14214: avg.41, max.93, min.9 AMD driver ver. 11.4, beta patch ver. 14305: avg.42, max.96, min.10 I haven’t noticed any anomalies, but haven’t flown yet. The game loaded normally. If I notice any relevant changes when flying, I’ll edit this post. [Edit: After a brief flight over Dover, the increase in the average frame rate suggested by the above seems more apparent – it subjectively runs at a higher frame rate, with a noticeable improvement when looking at the burning fuel storage depot. No additional graphic anomalies, no stuttering and no black lines (texture edges) seen in the sea. Nice improvement to the map detail. For me, a general improvement overall. [Edit 2: Regarding previously noted errors which seem unchanged; - Will still occasionally display desktop when hitting the ‘Esc’ key - Some texture leaks between sea and land on shore line (thin rectangular strips) - Massive fps hit when Le Havre industrial district comes into view These have been present since the previous beta and seem unaffected by the latest patch]

INstalled the Beta #2 on top of the old Beta. Ran game normally and noticed longer load up time initially.. Did my normal fps test track and I noticed that it looked amazingly good but was slower... Went in to video settings and found Vsync was on by accident :0 And FSAA.. so I disabled those to bring my settings on HIGH to exactly what they were.. end result about 10 fps better... now rather than 100-102 at start I get 110-112
Some people are trying to force Crossfire it is NOT working.. nor was it supposed to be working as far as I can read in the patch. I don't have SLI.. I Have a 6970 HD that runs this game great on my system.. I would like to see them work on 2 mains areas.. SLI/Crossfire support and FM's/DM's I think game stoppers need to go first, but at this point a significant portion of the players are having the game work ok, but the FM's and the engine management issues are making it less fun than it should be.. so efforts should be divided between those areas now. Along with GUI and Sound fixes..I know some people are going crazy about the sound, but I can live with less stellar sound until other areas are in a better place.
