By the time the US gets the release the game will be well sorted.
I just finished playing 5hrs of multiplayer with about 40 players and the game has made huge leaps in performance over the last couple patches.
The last Beta Patch is amazing.
Flying with enemy and friendly AI bombers formations is amazing!
I can now run everything on high with grass, shadows and roads and 8xAA @ 1920x1080 and it looks amazing and is really smooth now. Still occasional stutter but miles better than it was and I don't get launcher crashes anymore.

Avg 45 FPS over land and 60 FPS over water (vsync on)

i7 950 @ 4.6Ghz
6GB Ram @ 2000Mhz
4 x 5870 @ 1000/1300
2 x 128GB SSD Raid 0
Win 7 Ult 64bit
1920x1080 Resolution

Those trying to enable Vsync and FSAA, try to enable it in your cards settings too..

I'm also wondering if some things that were not working, or even on before, are now drawing resources where as before they were not drawing any..we just didn't know it?

I'm getting great peformance out of my rig now with these last 2 patch's but I still can't for the life of me get the AA to work past 2 x.
I've tried enabling it with the in game GUI and tried forcing it with the Nvidia CP and all manner of combinations i.e. forcing aa through Nvidia cp and turning it off in game and vice versa, enhancing it through NVidia Cp ect.

nothing works,I've also found thast forcing it through Nvidia Cp cause strange stuff in game, like random parts of the water looking like they're made of concrete and wierd stuff going on with the landscape.

it's my last gripe with the game and it's not a deal breaker but it'd be great if they could fix it.

for me this patch is horrible.i dont know why but this new texture loading system leads to massive stutters.although you cant call it stutters anymore, its more a slideshow with a new image every four seconds.especially when planes are flying by close, the game just freeezes.i didnt had that before the patch!first i thought i only have these massive stutters only over london again, but i have it over land everywhere and particular in dogfights(missions i made in FMB and played well before with 20-30fps average and no stutters at all).im dissapointed this time.sorry for beeing so negative.

systemspecs:
-Mainboard S1156 INTEL DH55TC,Micro-ATX,bulk
-Prozessor INTEL Core i5-650,3,2GHz,LGA1156,Dual-Core,Boxed
-2x 2GB DDR3 RAM,1333MHz,CL9,KINGSTON ValueRAM
-PCI-E 2.1 SAPPHIRE Radeon HD5570,Lite Retail,Low Profile
-Windows 7Home Premium 64Bit

I find that you have to alt-tab out of the game, and click something else and then click CoD. Seems to make it run a lot better.

Yeah I have the same issues with this patch. My performance is MUCH worse than it was before the patch, with microstutters back in full swing ... oh joy. My FPS is probably a solid 10 less than before as well. I'm even getting FPS drops over water which hasn't existed since the game was unpatched!

In addition, the AI continues to defy the laws of physics and they still haven't fixed the huge gamebreaking bug that limits the RPM of the Spitfire to 2400 when in combat.

This patch needs some serious reworking before it's released to the public. I'm not sure what you guys did but it killed any performance gains that you made in the previous patches.

Haven't noticed that, but I haven't run OOA yet.

Yes, it even disappeared after a while and came back later on. Had this several times.

I also tried to "tweak" the effects like I did in Il-2 by just removing all files except shake and spring.ffe (parts\core\FF folder) and it had no effect at all. Seems all shaking effects rely just on the shake.ffe. Toned that one down a lot then with the ForceEditor.

Some optimizations would be nice, especially the elevator pressure depending on speed and thrust, like it's done in Rise of Flight (reving up the engine on the ground stiffens the elevator without affecting the ailerons).

But again, thanks! CoD is getting better every week, I like those "friday development updates"

PS: Had an Appcrash after running down some Defiants after a while. Never flew for so long because of the performance but I've read about crashes already and I hope they'll get sorted out soon. It's like a miracle to be actually able to fly and do something with a below-specs HD3870 even at medium settings + shadows and buildings+trees very low (Black Death AVG 30fps).
How did you edit the FF, I'd like to increase the stick tention on my MSFFB2

Just open and change the .ffe files. But I doubt it's possible to increase the forces furthermore.
