New damage seen on HE 111, not sure if it is a bug or not. Black smoke pours out of tail / elevators for prolonged time with no visible fire, damage, or effect on flight performance. This particular He 111 stayed airborne for a good 10 minutes till his engines gave out from loss of oil pressure. Black smoke appeared before oil radiators were ruptured.

There is also an extreme fps hit when watching a bomber crash into the ocean. From 55 fps down to 6. This was present prior to patch as well.

Dont clean game cache it will wipe the patch off because its not signed yet, unless thats what you want to do.

No it won't, the cache has nothing to do with steams version checking, nor is it located under the games directories, it contains temporary files created every time a mission is run . Since the initial release if the launcher crashes on startup after updating, deleting the files found in the cache has allowed to the launcher to run in many cases.

Navigate to "\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover", and open "conf.ini" in notepad or similar, then search for [rts_joystick] there should be a single entry in this block FF=x ensure it is set to 1, save and close.

One note, FFB takes a little while to affect the stick after launching into a mission there is some delay before it kicks in.

First off, thanks a ton for the update. Great stuff done in so little time.
Really love the way now how missions are loaded, it's possible to change gunbelts etc now in Single Missions before entering them.

Haven't noticed that, but I haven't run OOA yet.

Yes, it even disappeared after a while and came back later on. Had this several times.

I also tried to "tweak" the effects like I did in Il-2 by just removing all files except shake and spring.ffe (parts\core\FF folder) and it had no effect at all. Seems all shaking effects rely just on the shake.ffe. Toned that one down a lot then with the ForceEditor.

Some optimizations would be nice, especially the elevator pressure depending on speed and thrust, like it's done in Rise of Flight (reving up the engine on the ground stiffens the elevator without affecting the ailerons).

But again, thanks! CoD is getting better every week, I like those "friday development updates"

PS: Had an Appcrash after running down some Defiants after a while. Never flew for so long because of the performance but I've read about crashes already and I hope they'll get sorted out soon. It's like a miracle to be actually able to fly and do something with a below-specs HD3870 even at medium settings + shadows and buildings+trees very low (Black Death AVG 30fps).

It seems to work ok, but some of the sea looks like it's made of grey concrete in the black death track.
