how do I start a lan game

well my internet multiplayer works , but my room mate is waiting on is wireless internet thing. so he doesn't have internet right, only 1 pc for internet at a time...

I was wondering if there was something else that we were missing for the lan.

or maybe even a official patch... yesterday I tried to play on lan, but it says there's only one person in loby ..


so where do I go from here?
