Just recognized (for me) disabling SSAO brings more fps than with SSAO ON.

So it seems now its working much better but i have to test it more. Dev team is going definitley the right way.

for nvidia users: a new official driver (270.61 whql) is downloadable since yesterday.
Using this driver I've got much fps over London but I must say the beta patch from last week was better for me.
i5 2500k 4ghz, 4 gb ram, gtx560ti, win7 x64
(maximum graph. settings 1920x1080)
I checked two missions: London sightseeing and free flight over France
with the last beta patch both mission was playable (min18-20fps)
with the newest official patch its a bit worse: over France and London I got less fps' than before

Hmmmm,

I assume that checking the SSAO box is turning it on, not off?

Just shot up my first plane. Would have downed him but got a lengthy freeze just as I had him. Found him just as he landed with severe damage. The screen freeze might have been the 255 ping though. Other than that it worked like a dream. Need more Aussie servers so the ping ain't so high. Awesome to be back on the multiplayer though. It was full real and no problems at all.

If anyone is having this problem, download the
DirectX End-user Runtime update and run it:

ive just had a dogfight two vs two over the sea with everything at minimum except special effects at maximum at 800*600

right on spot:

frames didnt go under twenty nor over 22, just like a movie

the problem is stutter on land caused by the buildings

if you have an option to remove all trees i dont see why cant you turn all buildings off

i did a litle experiment:

delete the sfs bob_buildings and substitute it by an empty sfs with the same name

now buildins appear as black pixels but even then have stuuters

seems the pc is doing overcalculation on when the buildings should pop up in view
