1st person bail out, manual parchute deployment?

That's what I do, but my pilot is stuck in the cockpit!!!

I thought that maybe I should do any magic spells, but it seems that I'll have to try more and more and some time, eventually, he will decide to bail out

Disconnect oxygen and wiring tubes....hmm, I wouldn't like having them waving around as I'm falling...
surely: take a deep breath of oxygen, remove helmet and mask, then undo straps (don't undo the parachute straps!) and bail...?
I can't remember the exact AM plublication for bailing out, but there is mention to the safety issues surrounding the wiring leads and the oxygen hosing.
