I been practicing using the course auto pilot and have found it to be off 7-8 degrees the more practice the easier it is to get going.
Kind of sucks trying to figure things out with trial and error this is my first IL2 game and the manual is lacking any sort of good content. There needs to be a wiki site set up with shared infomation searching the forums helps some. |

Can a player bombardier work the bomb sight in multiplayer? I haven't been able to check because multiplayer is so unstable at the moment. It would be a lot of fun to actually make it a two man job. I can imagine the amount of cursing and swearing going back and forth between the bomber and the pilot about keeping the plane straight would be fun. As for formation bombing, it would be reduced to "drop when the lead drops" which is the method that is a fun and mindless waste of munition suited for big bombers.

It is possible for someone to fly and someone to bomb. I did it with a friend on an empty server i created and it was alot of fun. I was the pilot and found it massively difficult to keep the plane stable enough but i imagine some people here would have no trouble at all. We got there in the end though and every worked great.
Problem is alot of people don't have a friend who likes to fly bombers with them and horizontal stabalisers let them do it alone. If you do have a friend who likes that kind of thing though, even if they add stabalisers i'd recommend giving it a go with two people, just be prepared to strain your friendship ![]() |
