Less stuttering for me and generally improved performance but the stuttering is not completely eliminated. And ugly single color block houses now. That nomipmap mod still removes almost all the stuttering though

Big reduction in stuttering here, probably 60-80% less. Framerates keep getting better with each patch. Some issues though-

- Loading up London sightseeing, the engine sound starts indicating the sim has loaded, but the loading screen stays on screen for about 10 seconds. Then a frozen screen from the sim appears, and stays still for a few seconds, then another frozen frame appears. Eventually about 25-30 seconds after the sim should have loaded the mission, a moving image is eventually displayed. Happens to a lesser extent on other missions.

- Some times after loading a mission, you see the landscape being 'drawn-in' in blocks, so initially you look to be over sea, then the landscape gets blocked in.

- Every 30-90 seconds there will be one of two half second stutters.

- While the old big stutters are mostly gone, there's still micro stuttering when flying low.

- House shadows that in the last third of the screen horizontally are sometimes stretched to the edge of the screen. This especially happens when looking out the side of the cockpit (rather than straight forward).

- LOD issues on buildings. Untextured boxes are drawn until you are right over them. Sometimes with buildings on 'unlimited' the buildings aren't drawn at all. I noticed half of Dover was flat with no buildings once.

- Sim still doesn't look like it's running full screen.

- Launcher crashes after exiting sim every time.

Specs: I5-760, GTX460 (lastest drivers), Win7-64.

I don't know if anybody has mentioned this :-

The Texture size Option introduced in this beta is a really good option.
I have a HD6850 with 1GB (so a pretty recent and powerful card) and I still benefit a lot from medium.

BUT

Currently this is quite a clumsy implementation. It appears to reduce every texture in resolution. This is Ok for the most part but not in all cases.

eg if you try the Blenheim the Ironsite has black squares all around it at medium resolution, as do the fuel indicators and the bombsite becomes a blur.

There are some textures that need to be excluded from this scale-ing in the longer term.
(instruments and bomb sites probably primarily).

PC:-
i5 2500k
HD6850
4GB RAM
Win7

Runs much better with new patch.

trying to collide with cliffs, but I can literally fly inside them instead. Eventually I explode, but I have to fly deeper into the cliff.

Same scenario, but now the twitching/uncontrollabe view is present as well. The view just keeps resetting after I try to pan the view.

I installed last beta patch in friday.
In the evening I tryed to go fly on-line.
During each 10 minutes Launcher.exe stopped work and game was dead.
After 4th time Launcher.exe crashed, I went sleep.

It shows me small Windows message that "program Launcher.exe stopped work blah blah blah" ..... and nothing else.
FPS was great and no stuttering.

Windows 7 Home premium 64bit
Intel core i5 750 2,67 GHz
RAM 4 GB DDR3
NVidia GeForce 470 GTX

SSAO was ON

Just thought i'd better report in that i'm having the same problem as Jarsalla in his second video (twitchy/uncontrollable views) especially in light of the fact that the feedback to this beta patch has been so overwhelmingly positive... and that the game is now literally unplayable for me.

It seems even to sometimes change the mouse from panning/zooming/offsetting to controlling roll? (head, not aircraft) My freetrack is disabled...

The patch also seemed to unbind all of my key mapping (as well as resetting a few other settings - though that might have been removing the mods) so i'm not sure if it's some kind of interference between binds but i've looked at everything I can think of and put in all the binds I was using that I could remember.

Brief Specs - Q6600 @stock
HD 6950 stock
4GB DDR2
Windows 7 64 Bit

It's possible i've broken something by removing the mods, but I have verified the files and reinstalled the patch a couple of times so /shrug.

Will give it another go on Monday I guess.
