I've been testing running a fairly hefty mission (~ 100 aircraft) set at high altitude getting FPS 16-80 depending on view, with these settings, :
1920x1200x32 @60hz; all 'high', plus 'roads' 'trees' etc; original textures setting; 4xAA, SSAO, ep (off), unlimited buildings.

While FPS seems better, and stuttering is reduced, I've had two crashes of Launcher.exe since this new patch, both times when changing to an external view of a different plane group - there seems to be a very brief pause when it gets to the external view on an aircraft as its loading in the land detail in tiles (it looked at first as though it was over the sea, then tiles of land detail appeared, as it was high altitude there was a fair area of map to 'fill in') - just before it crashed.

I've noticed more delay in loading in land textures since this patch. The crashes are well into the mission, say 10 -20 minutes of play and external view swapping looks to be the trigger.

Also, a few small bugs that were present before and remain:
- the position setting of the volume slider for Voice (in Options>Audio) does not get saved, it always reverts at next play to 50% position;
- if you are leading a fighter group and you get damaged ((i.e. youre finished!) and start to plummet to the ground the rest of your group follows you down trying to keep with you, until at a very low altitude when they will break off to prevent hitting the ground;
- a group will rejoin with you even though theyre out of ammo, would/should they head back to base, or is it up to you as leader to tell them (not always obvious theyve no ammo left unless you catch their message 'i'm out') ?

I like the new fireball explosion btw, sometimes when a plane's fuel goes up

Wow! What an improvement for me over land! I have trees, roads, and land detail to high and I can actually enjoy the sightseeing now! I get around 35 fps on the deck... Keep up the good work!

I get around 70-90 fps over open water.

I'm getting mid 20s to mid 30s flying low-level over London and then dropping suddenly down as low as 3 fps hence the stuttering.
