after patching to 14072beta:

fps slightly better than previous patch, stuttering is a lot better. Still not getting if sli is really working or this is a sort of compatibility mode. one big issue is that sometimes (apparently random) while in a dogfight HUGE freezes come up. i thought it was when bombers were around, but have just had it in 6 on 6 furball between hurricanes and g50s.

Force Feedback still broken

Coastal areas still messed up, buildings and trees draw over sea, then ground appears under them, then it disappears again.

As before, antialiasing settings don't seem to effect graphics. What comes out seem a very low to null antialias setting (how would be fps affected if aa was really on?).

ps, i 'm not very interested if some whiners have problems reading the instruments needles, all i'd like is to have the closest match to what was really on a given plane

Thanks Devs, now this game is really really enjoyable, i'll just love it, no bad stuttering at all anymore, just played multiplayer, smooth as silk. Really nice.

Wonderful patch!
Excellent work, gents...

[edit]
removed stuff about crashing game when turning on lights
...as it turns out, I had (somehow) managed to bind "L" to "Exit game"

*shaking my head in disbelief*

Game now runs perfectly, smoothly and beautifully.
That's all, carry on...
[/edit]

Thanks

Also experienced quite a few crashes, didn't take much notice until the very last one I had. I was Ctrl-F2:ing to see some externals on aircraft when it crashed.

Y esterdayI've installed the first patch and today I've the new beta patch tested. The result is the same: a total "fiasco". Even worse: the second patch doesen't allow even the menu scran the other allowed before...
I think there is something doesn't work with my PC:

Here the specs:
Sony VPCL13J9E
INTEL(R)CORE(TM) 2Duo CPU E 7500 @ 2.93 GHz
Clock 2.94 GHz
RAM 4GB
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M

Have I still a hope?

With that laptop I don't think you will ever get this game running even on low settings... Sorry - but it's a low end machine that is below the recommended specs.

Might be just me but i found files were missing from the top link down load after extraction, so im trying to d/l from megadownloads and the down load seems bigger.

The patch download directly from 1C gave me a truncated (corrupt/incomplete) archive file. I therefore downloaded the file from one of the mirrors. After that, patch installation (copy/paste the stuff into the correct places) was straightforward...

Default Patch download

Downloaded the patch straight from 1C link and after 189Mb was told incomplete download. DL the torrent 199Mb and it works fine. big improvement on the game paly and frame rate, so worth the problems with downloading.
