If you can hold off, wait for the US release patch. It's just a few days away and I guess, we will not see a new patch anytime soon after that.
Then you could see how your brothers card is doing and if it is better for the sim to have more speed or more video ram. |

I've heard that you get a lot of bang for your buck by going SLI on the GTX 570. I'm running a slightly overclocked card with stock cooling and temp alerts at 80C (never been over 70C) and it is actually running CoD without the patches at an acceptable framerate! There's still microstutters, though, which the patches and mod fixes! Now I get silky smooth gameplay with 1 card and everything on high over the ocean, and some slight FPS drops over land
![]() Can't complain, though I want the second card for SLI soon ![]() |

That is certainly where I'm leaning to currently, trying to hold off on ordering to see what happens with the next patch

Yes ofcourse but still 2 GB will be the minimum mostly with the future of the sim and the native resolutions of LCD's.

I upgraded from radeon 5850 HD to 6970, and there was a big improvement on pefrormance. The game is finally playable on mid settings, even I do still get weird stutters over land as well as it seems as the shadows are flickering (same way as with my 5850). My processor is i7 920 3ghz.
