I am in the process of setting up one from my house and renting a 64 pplayer one the home unit will come first and in ...maybe 2 weeks i will rent one...i hope as long as it proves tobe stable

Been on LeadFarmer's server all evening, smooth as silk with players flying at pings well above the 250ies sometimes. The only guy that was giving a few of us problems had a ping of above 400.

Framerates are also a lot better in MP.

VAC=1 is usually there to turn on the Valve Anti Cheat. Special program that scans the .exes and .dll for predefined violations. If a player is found cheating on a VAC server, he will be automatically banned from Steam, thus loosing his games, etc. That is something every Steam user signs with the EULA.

I am not quite sure how this is intended to work with CoD though but the routines of VAC might just work in a sim as well.

I think it's the same software as the normal game. The difference is you start up the game from the command line with a server command.

Problem is is that it takes a licence of COD and the steam account that you run it from can only be used for 1 instance of the game.

Thanks dude - hopefully they release proper dedicated server software soon - i have a spare computer i want to host it on.
