Look oldschool - you're clearly a retard, so taking your word for the performance hit of a graphical feature, especially one so unspecific as "30-40%" with no reference to any other setting, spec or variable, would be remedial. It's also not what the question was, so again you score highly in reading comprehension.

Well its NOW decided to show up as it should so i now have upto 8x AA..brilliant only i havent changed a dam thing..
and to top it off when i think im making headway and might be able to play the game all my 1 sec interval stutters are now back..any mission any type any plane.. great

As far as I am aware AA is supported in the DX10 settings, and XP supports DX9 only

most are seeing a AA performance hit at about 10 -15 frames (quoted %) even with highend hardware
