Quick last post for the night (sorry) I think your video card is chewing up a lot of address space - you are going to running with probably 2gig of addressable ram or so. That may be causing stutter - I still hope they improve the way it loads assets to help you out but sadly I'd have to recommend going 64bit. I would also suggest looking at using junctions to maybe split asset folders across more than one hard disk, bigger, fixed size virtual RAM, that sort of caper.

Can't concord with this. I have a GTX 275 and it runs over ocean with 40-60 fps, over land in average 35. Not high settings and some stuff turned off but still very nice looking and yet good performance. The only issue is with some stutters over land that increased with patch but I just down turned the visibility distance in the conf file and now everythings fine. So definitely playable and enjoyable with a GTX 275

Sorry I cant agree...

Got GTX280 1GB OC and on medium (some high) settings 1680x1050 over channel avg 50 over land avg 30fps, smooth gameplay

Q9650 @ 3,6GHz | 4GB DDR3 | 2x GTX280 1GB OC | Win7 Ultimate 64-bit
