Well, that might be that this thread is dead old and if you downloaded THIS beta patch, then you got an old one. Wake up

With new beta patch, I have a degrade in fps, about 5-10 fps without cloud (in free flight quick mission) and a major fps hit (10-15) with more clouds, in particoular in quick mission "british attack - bridge" and "british attack - column". Stutter is the same, still present but playable.
My PC:
Intel Q6600@3,2 Ghz
MB Asus P5K
GeForce GTX275 968MB
RAM DDR2 4GB
Audio Card: Xonar DX
Resolution 1920*1080

Game config:
terrain: high
forest: low
damage decal: high
model: high
building detail: very low
building number: low
texture: high
AA: 2x
full screen
terrain shadow: medium
shadow: no
street: yes
grass: yes
Ciao.

Take this thread out behind a shed and shoot it. It's really confusing as it's about a patch that is months old...

No difference in frame rate here are pre patch and post patch video same settings and location.
I found that having the mirror on, no longer reduces FPS by 20.

Average 25 FPS after patch with aero disabled

1680 x 1050
Mirror: off
Model detail: high
Building detail : very low
Land detail: low
Visual effects: medium
Damage decals: medium
Building amount: low
Land shadow: low
Grass: off / Shadows: on / Roads: off

I don't have time right now for extensive testing, but in the 1/2 hr or so I put in, the game "feels" better, but frames are only up slightly. I still have some stutters, but it seems improved. I like the rest of the improvements a lot, multiplayer is way better.

For those, like me, who can't even run the game post patch (Logo, 5 secs, exit before black screen), I suggest you go to your Steam library and turn off the automatic updates in case a solution is not found before tomorrows patch and you want to play what you have.

A reminder - if you use steam to verify the game cache from local files it will undo the manual patch.

Other things I have tried to fix this issue which have failed:

1) Cloud synch on/off to ensure my conf is good (have original install conf in Cloud)

2) reapplied patch after cache integrity check which resets the install on patched files

Apart from either my Steam install being in the non standard directory (M:/ disk) or some odd hardware mismatch (unlikely as spec if mainstream), I've run out of ideas on this one.
