Default 4.09

How long do we still have to wait for it?
It seems we have waited quiet a while and nothing...
Now I would love to hear more about SOW and what is happening but frankly I am sure we are still years off release and I would like to enjoy the benefits of 4.09 soon.
Not having it released one month before SOW.
I know you are all busy hard at work on SOW but surely you can spare an intern to jack together 4.09 and ship it?

Vent over regarding 4.09
Now to SOW - The all seeing Flak, will the ai be able to identify planes through clouds and at high altitudes as is currently the case in Il2 or will it be more realistic creating friendly fire situations.
This would be very reaslistic especially when air bases are under attack or nearby air raids are taking place.
The same goes for gunners in planes, will they be prone to firing at anything that moves the more nervous they get....?

Default Airfield Layouts

I searched the thread for 'airfield layout' and no joy, so....

Oleg,

will BoB have reasonably historically accurate airfield layouts, at least in England. Born and raised in the '11 group area', playing on bombsites and knowing these airfields, it would be a big disappointment if they were all plastic generic types. Here's hoping.

I did say 'reasonably accurate' - as in general layout. I wonder if you ever got the photos I sent of the 'standard' layout for RAF domestic sites?

Looking forward to SOW:BoB.

I Think if someone teamkills in an online game they have to sit out and man the flac or aaa etc. But just in case people enjoy it, give them the option to select those when choosing aircraft...

Thanks for a great game..... ~S~

In the current game, taxing your aircraft in full cockpit mode really hinders your view. I know that there is going to be 6DOF implemented which will help, but are there going to be other things to help like AI ground crew on your wing or maybe a small box in the corner showing a view in front?

The short answer is learn taxi like the real guys do it. Yeah leaning out would help but the real answer is Tail draggers zig zag on the taxi way

I know what your saying, but its still a game we are playing and aircrew on wings giving directions was common I thought.

Bringing back from the beginning of the thread:
  1. Damage of coolant lines; coolant leaks: will it be modeled? (yes/no, however detailed answer is welcome too).
  2. Reversal of controls; wing twist;

1. Yes. More detailed when will be ready.

2. If you mean the problem on ailerons of Spitfire before and including initial series of MK V due to rodation of the wing relatively aileron - Yes we plan it. Wing twist - visually separate of each console - not.

Great to see you here Oleg,

May we NOT include these two things in SOW BOB

1. Elevator Trim on a slider facility or any quick trim change. Also flaps on a slider if not historically correct eg Spit ( by the way I mostly fly the spit)

2. Sonic radar. when plane you are attacking can hear you from a long way away and evade.

These two game "exploits" harm online play in my opinion

I know you are busy , but I think we are all very pleased you are able to spend some time here, thank you.
