Bear in mind there's a problem (being looked at) whereby the aircraft model is lagging behind its 'true' position. This is exaggerating the lazy/floppy head feeling. It should tighten up quite a bit soon.

Have you tried tightening your straps? (Shift F1) I use it anytime I am about to enter a fight so I can keep my sight lined up with the bad guys. Keeps your wobbly head in place. Beware however, you cannot check your six when your straps are tightened! I set it to a button as a toggle on my HOTAS, use it quite a bit.

Headshaking for me is simply perfect. Like scissors said, try tightening your shoulderstraps before complaining...

It is true that head shaking is very strong and makes aiming while turning almost impossible. You have to really line up for the shot. It is especially noticeable with 20mm cannons of the Bf 109 and 110.
Then again I never flew a ww2 fighter so what do I know...

the opinions go to two sides.... but its a fact that the head shaking was not such hard in reallife...

to the video of the p-51 flight, you can clearly see that the pilote is not shaking at all even at the turns and roll... (you have to watch the pilote and not the camera itself....)

fact is that the shaking is to strong. those old ww2 planes were not able to roll fast enough to let your head bumping into the canopy. and also keep in mind that the pilote knows when he begins to roll, so he will hold against the g-forces preventing him from hard shaking

Yeah, I noticed lots of camera shaking but very little head movement in the video, the most was on landing and even that wasn't much. A very smooth flight.
