OK just checked my conf ini in my English version.I only have a conf.ini in the steam apps, and even though I set Epi filter to off ingame, there was nothing about it in the conf.ini
I manually editted it with 'EpilepsyFilter=0' and my fps went up from:
avg 25 / max 45 / min 4 to avg / 29 / max 53 / min 17

For some reason the line was not added automatically when using the ingame option!

conf.ini in the steamapps or softclub location? Can anyone confirm which is required for offline and is the other relevant?

Conf.ini in the Users\My Documents\1C Softclub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover is the one.

Selecting and or deselecting in the options setting page in game will write the appropriate line to the appropriate conf.ini. Manual edit is not required.
