It's a dual chip nothing to do with crossfire... or am I wrong?

i have a 5970 also... its a dual chip solution and actually the same as crossfire technically...
if the software doesnt work well with crossfire (and there are many problems still, CoD, Rof etc.) you have to disable the second GPU somehow.. in old catalyst it could be disabled by switching catalyst AI off... now this option doesnt exist anymore ... under crossfire option you just have left the option to show the crossfire logo... the workaround is: I am using the old profiles in some of which the second gpu was disabled... so load any profile with 2. gpu disabled and alter any other settings you need.... actually its a shortcoming of AMD... they dont think about details like this..

I have been told that the 11.4 software is amazing but it's still in beta.
