No after effects were used to enhance the video in a cinematographic way, only in-game effects, except for slight use of colour and shake filters.

The video was made in basically 1 week after access was granted to the game, same basic gameplay as IL-2 and easy to learn and use.

Shadows were turned down.

Sometimes vulnerability was off, realistic gunnery off, etc. just to make it easier to capture the desired situation.

Slow motion was obtained by recording at very slow game speeds, much slower than IL-2 1946.

The movie was made in full HD mode at 25fps

Kindly note that the game made available to me was still a BETA version and it would be undesirable for me to comment on any technical or gameplay matters

The only comment I am prepared to make is that this game will totally surprise everyone.

I don't know about any of you other guys, but I got cold chills at the end of the London vid.

Amazing.

Thank you Oleg.

Must confess I found it emotionally moving both visually and aurally. My compliments to the musicians.

Beautiful, In 2 weeks time there is going to be a lot of fully grown men thrown back to childhood, I can hear the wife yelling at me to "get off that bloody computer and come get your dinner" already! (mental note to self, buy better headphones this week)
Will have to hide myself away so that my 14yo son doesnt have to explain to his friends why his dad is dressed like a ww2 pilot and screaming abuse at the RAF in a fake german accent whilst frantically yanking a joystick and stomping on rudder pedals.

Ps, thats not a baby crying at the end of the London vid, Its me, knowing I have to wait another two weeks!

So much so, that it seems a little pointless flying any other sim until this comes out.

The vids also show that most of the updates to date have been teasers, showing shots of more 'older work in progress' than 'current work in progress' in my humble opinion.

Not that I mind in the slightest. Absolutely wonderful update.

Not long until 'chocks away'!

Very nice videos..

BIG thankyou to Oleg, ilya and all

Good things I noticed-

  • RAF pilot heads now tilted forward, much better.
  • Damage to the Do17 with crew k.i.a very good
  • Silly little things like the fantastic detail on tail wheel struts and tyres.
  • The internal detail through the windows of the Sunderland at the very start.
  • Love the tracers, fire and smoke.

Not so good -
  • Colour of squadron codes on Beaufighter and Gladiator too bright ?
  • Looks like flying over London not good for FPS!
  • Italian pilot helmets?
  • No video of tank Vs tank battle yet, or any land combat.

and....Still waiting for release date info and STEAM pre-order...

It was good to see, still would like to see some actual gameplay footage (as in unedited, ingame sound / combat), only other thing is the yellow colored windows made me lol - could do with some lighting changes because a yellow texture on a window doesnt count as (house with lights on inside) anymore. So hope this scales up, or they work out a way to have some more broad based lighting and change the window properties.

There won't be any land battles in the Battle of Britain but that won't stop us from making missions with land battles, because the tools are there. I doubt very much that the developer would have time to make these battles, even though some of their modellers had the time to build the necessary vehicles for later addons.
