Don't want to start a flamewar, but I completed that mission without any game script problems. Doesn't mean I didn't crash a few times! I think it's just down to luck really.

By the way, does anyone else's game crash when they try to view the planes in the hangar? I'm kinda annoyed at not being able to read up on the planes (plane geek here...).

Same here, I just finished the campaign in arcade with no problems but so many people can't be wrong, and I feel as though I dodged a bullet.

I've read somewhere that if you are using a Tflight hotas x in the hanger it crashes could that be your problem?

by the way Never said it was Not do-able But much easier on Realistic or Sim for Some missions .

Nope, I've got a T.Flight stick X (not HOTAS). I don't use it very often, and it crashes even using the pad.

Never had that happen , but zoom sticks on re-spawn in realistic with some control schemes , and some times tail gunner on bomber will be on constant fire you can here the clicking sound cycle fast in map screen .

But.. The greatest tip I can offer which I hope will now show up in searches is you can use mouse as free look camera with flight stick just plug in usb mouse before starting game and to pan camera left click right click zoom
If you are using a HDTV 720P or greater display and have trouble picking up or spotting targets try changing the resolution to ED-TV 480p

Turns out it was the custom controls I was using, it's sorted now, thanks.
My TV tends to go blurry at SD resolution, but thats just my stupid TV! Now I need to get my hands on a spare mouse...

I play BOP on my 42" Panasonic, 1080p, HD, Plasma TV, now my problem is that when I play BOP on SIM, Realistic or even Arcade with the HUD turned off, I cannot see the planes until I am right on top of them, its like they just appear out of thin air.

What is the optimal tv setting for BOP?
