Koalition review, 8 out of 10.
"For the low price and the sheer amount of content, Men of War: Assault Squad is certainly worth a look if you’re looking for something more tactical and polished than what’s on the market. It’s not really pretty and doesn’t sound amazing, but the strong gameplay really won me over, even without having played the first game and its expansion. It’s different enough from the competition that you won’t feel bored with more of the same, and there’s the benefit from all the playtesting it’s received over the last few months that are going to give you a very polished end-product." Platform Nation review, 9 out of 10!
"Men Of War: Assault Squad was a nice step away from the FPS war genre it was a welcome change. If you are looking for a great Real time strategy game then look no further then this title. Men Of War offered a great game and I think the price was fair for what you get. Sad that I didn’t get to play more into it for this review but will continue to play." RipTen review, 8.5 out of 10
"In summary Men of War: Assault Squad is a highly difficult RTS game with an incredible learning curve. Numerous units, unlimited strategic opportunities and hours of gameplay make for an amazing PC experience hampered only by poor unit path finding and lack of a true single player mode. If you’re a strategy fan you owe it to yourself to play this cult hit." Please find full text here. |

Game-Debate review, 8 out of 10
"Men of War – Assault Squad is an excellent strategy game that gets across brilliantly the struggle of wartime battles and a sense of fighting an overpowering enemy with the odds stacked against you. In particular it's nice to have a strategy game come along that requires you to actually use strategy and tactics rather than the Total Annihilation/Supreme Commander method of 'build a bazillion ships and win by numbers.'"
