"IMO they look perfect now."

They're better, but still not like that (1) ...

... but really better, yes.

(1) perhaps the typical English green will be seen under a grey sky ?

"Especially that 109 looks way too polished."

Many of these aircrafts were almost factory new or rather well maintained.

"Clouds make a tremendous difference in color perception."

Yes, you're right, and this is precisely why I really would like to have in the game a high overcast (1) like this :

(1) no need, at once, for it to be dynamic.

"The developers are showing us the most difficult sections of the day to model color-wise... bright sunlight."

And that's why photographers avoid like the plague to take pictures at 1200, what is for some strange reason the favorite hour for screen-shooters

Clouds make a tremendous difference in color perception. The developers are showing us the most difficult sections of the day to model color-wise... bright sunlight.

When it's overcast and/or the sun is setting, the textures, etc will all look more and more "real" as the color fades - and... much easier for the computer to make it look "real". Take note that thebest screenshots in any sim are typically dawn or dusk.

Development shots look great. What a great platform to build on...

I'm not quire sure what you mean - are you saying that the green in the image you posted is perfect, and that's what the colour in CoD should look like?

It's hard to describe, after all a perception is by essence personal, but I would say, remembering to good old time of slides, a little bit less Velvia and a little more Sensia.

I'm really happy with the colours I see in today's screenshots. Given the variables, like time of year, time of day, cloud cover etc, I think if you have to start saying 'a little bit less Velvia', perhaps you're being too picky.

Can't take it anymore, need this game NOW!
I'm gonna lock myself up in my room, once i have it
and lose 30% of my body weight because i didn't have time to eat while i was playing this game...

Perhaps im exaggerating a bit, just a bit though.

Oleg, Luthier and team, you guys are the very best!
