Not bad, not bad, but again, why to use wide angle for general views like here...

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/attachm...4&d=1298045372

... that deforms the perspectives and transforms aircrafts like flying bananas.
When I was working as a editor, if I get such a deformed pic, the pic would go immediately to the dustbin.

PLEASE, for the standard external view, which will be available in the game, choose a standard focale (43mm if possible), or let it be choosable by the user in the game settings or in the conf.ini.

Chris, you are right, but do you believe this is a good idea to give Oleg some lessons of photography??

Colors are getting better and better, IMO they look perfect now. But as a former IL2 skinner, I'm really missing some weathering. There will be more, right? Especially that 109 looks way too polished. Or is there going to be a dynamic aircraft weathering system?

You can do that yourself, with a slider, ingame.

The devs like new, shiny AC.

"IMO they look perfect now."

They're better, but still not like that (1) ...

... but really better, yes.

(1) perhaps the typical English green will be seen under a grey sky ?

Many of these aircrafts were almost factory new or rather well maintained.

"Clouds make a tremendous difference in color perception."

Yes, you're right, and this is precisely why I really would like to have in the game a high overcast (1) like this :

(1) no need, at once, for it to be dynamic.

Clouds make a tremendous difference in color perception. The developers are showing us the most difficult sections of the day to model color-wise... bright sunlight.

When it's overcast and/or the sun is setting, the textures, etc will all look more and more "real" as the color fades - and... much easier for the computer to make it look "real". Take note that thebest screenshots in any sim are typically dawn or dusk.

Development shots look great. What a great platform to build on...
