My avatar is a picture of my uncle from his 1945 Tuskegee graduation class. While he never saw action I've been inspired to fly WWII sims ever since I learned he was a Tuskegee Airmen. One of the first Airmen squads was the 99th.

I studied geology @ U of Washington in Seattle. Obsidian is a volcanic rock that can form when basaltic lava is erupted into the air. It cools so quickly it takes on a glass like form. Early man discovered that it could be chipped and formed to make very sharp spear and arrow heads.

So 99th in homage to my late uncle and my online squadron and Obsidian, the deadly black arrowhead.

one of my favorite movies of WWII planes and squadrons, what I really like about them is their battlefield march song:
"contact joystick back
sailing through the blue
brown men tried and true
We are heroes of the night
the Hell with Axis might
fight fight fight fight
fighting 99th

Rat Tat, Rat Tat Tat
down in flames they go
fighting men of the 99th
send them down below
for we are heores of the night
the Hell with Axis might
fight fight fight fight
fighting 99th..."
As a matter of fact, I just recently purchased a RC foam ultramicro p51 D and modified it to a p51B and named it "Inna the macon Belle" in the memory of the first African American Ace Lt Lee Archer 1 of the gruesom twosome fighters of the 332nd fighter group. Cant remember which class from Tuskegee but i'm sure he wasn't from the first 6 classes that formed the 99th fighter group commanded by Benjaming O. Davis Jr.

I'm an Australian of Croatian decent. My grandpa escaped the post WWII communist Yugoslavia regime on a fishing vessel through to Italy with around 30 others all of who eventually settled in Australia in the mid 50’s. Another boat was intercepted containing family and friends who were never heard from again all presumed executed. So my existence (and that of my father) is rather lucky as is the case with many of us no doubt. My surname (Mislov) is pretty uncommon globally as far as I can tell, anyway Aussies being Aussies they always shorten ones name and add a's, e's, or o’s for a nick name. I've always been Miz, Mizza, and very occasionally Mizwa. (Mizwa being my 360 gamer tag). Interestingly playing against Americans in online shooters they often think it’s of a Muslim decent and I’ve been called a terrorist on a number of occasions in a lobby lol. However a quick f*ck you mate in a heavy Aussie accent soon sets them strait. Pretty sad really but such is the plight of the unintelligent.

Outside of video games I have a passion for most board riding sports (surfing, skating, wake boarding etc) however it’s snowboarding that is the biggest of all my passions (outside of wife and young children of course lol) and my dream past time. I only ride and wear Burton equipment and my mates quickly picked up on it and started taking the pi$$. While having a refreshing brew post a hard days riding one of them commented here comes Burtonboy with the beers or is your round Burtonboy and it's kind of stuck mainly on snow trips or when hanging with that group of freinds. That too is usually followed with a quick F* you also, but all in good fun! So I use that one also in this forum at least and 5 is my lucky number.
