i realy like this topic !
it reminds me a lot of films i saw in the past - long long ago sometimes and therefore forgotten by myself till now  another one i remember is "Darling Lili"  :It made use of Lynn Garrison’s aviation facility at Weston Aerodrome, Leixlip, Ireland. This collection of World War I replica fighter aircraft, facilities and support equipment was originally put together in support of 20th Century Fox’s 1966 film The Blue Max. The aerial fleet included a sole Caudron 277, two Fokker DR 1s, three Fokker D VIIs, two Se 5as and two Pfalz D IIIs (all full-scale replicas). In addition, the studio contracted with Slingsby Aircraft Ltd to build six 7/8th scale SE 5s (the "Mini SE 5").[1] The Paramount production utilized the assembled aircraft for thousands of flying hours and accumulated hundreds of hours of aerial footage. Pilots were drawn from the Irish Air Corps and civilian circles.

Nice animations, very interesting story, especially the first one.
Another I'd like to add to the list is Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Many don't like this movie, but I think it's awesome. I mean, what's not to like about a 1940's plane in the 1930's, blasting space-pterodactyls, Angelina Jolie, diving underwater to blast more robots, landing in flying-aircraft-carriers, Angelina Jolie, trying to stop an evil genius from destroying the world.... Anyone who thinks it's totally lame, is simply missing the point, I think. Too bad it totally bombed in theaters. Last edited by Romanator21; 11-21-2010 at 03:50 AM.

Tmavomodrý svět released in the west as Dark Blue World absolutely MUST be included in the top 5.

Dark Blue World.. never released in The Netherlands. I bought one from the States...
About other movies, Personally i dislike the 'dumb' use of movieparts from multiple movies eg. Stealth Fighter : Using parts from flight of the intruder, later it starts with a F14 ..low vis camo scheme..it turns in the Iron Eagle F16's again it's a F14 but now in the high vis scheme and on the return it shows others..uhh.....
