Top Gun gets a lot of stick but for me the aerial sequences are some of the best ever filmed. I can watch it again and again for the camerawork. I think the F14s vs A4s "Yee Haw! Jester's Dead!" section is probably the highlight. Just awesome - especially on a big screen with the sound cranked up!
Watch any modern CGI-is-King movie and compare. No, wait, there is no comparison. Other than that, Dambusters for me. Goosebumps every time.
