Realistic : Gets a little bit more serious here.. Realistic players like to play fair and will not tolerate any nonsense from anybody over anything whatsoever especially from the damned French! Bailing out is considered the proper thing to do, and most do (except the damned French!)

That brings in mind something happened to me few nigth ago, concerning realistic game mode and french.
I was playing BOP looking for some simulator match but none was going on, while i've recieved an invitation from a player named LEBRAVE something ( maybe lebrave50 ) to joing their game.

Sadly, ( sadly for me, since i play only sim ) the game was a realistic match, so i quitted while i was still in the lobby, before the game started. Got invited again by the same player with a message saying "come on" and so i've decided to stay.


Game was: Team battle game, 4 players, 3 of them french, ( lebrave, cassecouboi74 and pedro...something , not sure about the right name spelling ), 20 minute game, all of them in spitfire while i was in LA7.

I picked team A but i wanted to play against cassecouboi because i used to know him for longer than other player in the room and quite sure about his skills compared to other present at the moment ( I like to play balanced and challenging team battles when possible, trying to find out, fight and hunt against the most skilled player available over the opposite team ), also, i've been reading about his "unfair" way to play on some other thread ( maybe the quitter one ) and wanted to prove that. He was hosting the game.

What happened next is kinda funny...

i took team A.
he took team A.
I switched to B.
He gone to B too.
( in the meantime, all the 3 french player was talking in french using headset )

I went back to A, he did to... then i went to B and checked, and someone said in english "vdomini don't worry you are not alone" ( lol )

Then all the 3 player gone opposite team and game started.

Me in LA7 vs 3 spit fire in realistic mode, 20 min game.

I've decided to stay for no more than 10 minutes, then to quit.
After those 10 minutes, i had scored 4 kills, they scored 0. The game was pretty boring.

I wrote a message at lebrave but he replyed he didn't know how to speak english.

I have nothing against the french, my aunt is french, i 've been studing in a french school when i was very young and i was able to learn how to speak french fluently, i love france and i totally adore Paris, i have many friend in france one of my best online BOP friend is Olife and he is a great and fair friend, but i have to admit that he is the only french pilot i like to fly with/against while playing BOP.

first great,millions thanks !!u are a super great pilot and friend and it is always very very hard and a super challenge to fly against u and a great pleasure to fly with u .u are very good meaning!!
cassecouboy and lebrave are in my friend list and they are very sympathetic and great pilots i find ,never had a probs with them,i really surprised to hear all it about them...
and i don t want to be idiot to open a stupid war of nationalites but i already heard a very bad words and insults (and not only in french!!but also in the first language of the world...)
and a lot of those bad words were for me!!!!!don t know why!!!just look in some old threads of this forum and u will understand it is not only totally a "french touch " to be bad meaning!!even if many times for example in the big game of activision/treyrach..lol...u see what game i want speak..it was the shame to be french because of all the unpolite words i heard in french!!( in a game or in the real life we criticize others but we forget often what we are...)(of course vdomini i don t say it for u,cause i know your great valor of man and i have an italian uncle,i know and like the italian spirit)
but i pardon...it is not very important...it is just a game
just enjoy...

Well said Olife, happens to me in Russian now and then.

So, adding this:
No insulting other players because they are no good or because of their background.

It doesn't affect fair play but all the same would be decent to have.

like i say when i start a il2 game,i m afraid,i m afraid of all the players,the aces,the news,the others,everybody...with their qualities and their defaults...it is the respect for all the online brothers in arms...and today if i meet a rookie one thing is sure,he will progress and he will beat me one day,it is just a question of time...it is the meaning of the hunting,never overrate his own personn and never underrate the others...

I also refrain from entering the realistic matches when a large group has gathered. I am afraid I will spoil their play, because at that level mine is poor. I do really enjoy all the chatter back and forth between them (they have mics and i do not), it really seems to make for some great flying and a good times. Really, I believe that is the best part of this game, people from everywhere being able to come together, have a great time and some laughs playing a great game.

i wont feel that way or refrain from playing. get an el cheapo mic and join the fun. when i first started i jumped in and told them right off i wasnt any good. the players didnt have a problem with that. you will get shot down a lot but you will also learn. i encourage new players to join...and try the different difficulties...real & sim.

I have myself a microphone, but it doesn't work on PS3. I would need to chop up some wire and attach a USB.

u don 't spoil the play of the others because of your poor level.i think the guys who have experience never forget they started to play one day and they were rookies too ,personnaly i play since the game came out and i have my own big defaults of fly (a lot!!!)!!!
u are able to understand the meaning of this game,now it is just a question of practice...sure the guys will cross your plane in the future will be afraid too...just a question of time...
