If she got shot while in combat, it would be really awkward (and horrible) having to continue a dogfight with her dead body slumped over you. So will there be an option to eject her?

That´s a special feature that can be unlocked earning 200 Olegs (SoW virtual money).
She is intended to be used as an armor for the pilot.

I guess he got inspired by that Pearl Harbor part.
