Luthier complained on Sukhoi.ru about PCs config, they were leased to by fair owners. The problem is with the RAM, which is only 2GB, while min.requirement is 3GB. That is why it stutters over the ground (loads textures for ground and buildings).

Wow! I was looking at a PC with a similar spec. Crossed fingers it'd run the game nice and smooth with more RAM

Weren't you the guy who alway asked for more complicated graphics? Trees suck! Clouds suck! Fields, just wrong. And you seriously thought you can have all that and get away with such an eco pc? *still ROFL!* |

Fields; improved textures and improved hedgerows. Trees; more rounded in shape to match English trees (but this seems to have been achieved). And there we have it. So yes, LOL, ROFL, scream with glee like a child all you want. I haven't asked for anything that can't be done with current systems. And an eco-PC? When did I say I wasn't looking at buying another PC that's better for SoW and using this one for work? I didn't, so before you get all excited, maybe you need to be a bit more logical before jumping to conclusions. Thanks. Back to the actual exciting news, and not jumping on forum members in order to spur argument. It's people like you that cause topics to go tits up. |

Definitely - yesterday. Quote:
So it's your work pc you want Sow to run smooth on? Plus the other game pc? Then why do you care about the first one? |

But I'm just being pedantic, clearly. Not all of us are made of money, and I'm not some tech nerd. from what I could see, such a rig was quite good and from reviews i've read on overclockers, can run crysis maxed out etc. A year or two ago I had one chap try and convince me, on an Il-2 forum, that SoW would easily run on a gaming system of that time (this is pre DX11) His argument was that games nowadays are much better optimized for the current technology. Whether or not he is correct, at least SoW can run on such a system. I mean, the tweaks that I think need to be make are hardly groundbreaking. If a hedge was one object it could run with a higher fps than a few trees, and so if there were, say, a dozen hedges on screen, I can't see that causing a huge performance drop. As for clouds, well, in every sense the way the model would be changed to give a flat bottom would trim it of the excess at the base; thus making it smaller. This might cause more of a performance drop, but it's been done in other sims, and I can't see it being an issue... my point is that I'm not asking for the map to be littered with craters 30ft deep. These are just cosmetic details; they aren't groundbreaking. Anyway, I don't want to argue about this. I'm really enjoying watching the progress of this sim and tbh i don't care what you think about my opinions; or what you care about things I've said in the past. please, this is the internet, not real life; i have nothing to prove to you, so stop caring. ![]() |

![]() Now I'm not against these changes - in fact I'd welcome them - but there are no free meals, and you shouldn't assume that those are "simple tweaks". |

It shows how little people actually understand about the ratio personal wishes vs. computer needs that result from it. I had a good laugh too.
