Glad I found this site!! Wuz looking all over the net for a walkthru or advice about Birds of Prey. So, hoping someone here can tell me WTF is going on. I'm bout ready 2 drop kick my PS3 out the door over the "Wolf Pack" mission. If you aint done it yet, you have to keep 4 Liberty ships in your convoy from being sunk by German U-boats. So anyway I take off of the battle ship in the Kingfisher (which is a real gas!!) and get the call over the radio that enemy U-boats have bin spotted in the area & 2 search for them. This might sound stupid but I am guessing theres only 3 coz I see 3 sub icons at the bottom left of my screen. DUH! So anyways I find'em and take'em out with the depth charges. As I do the counter drops down to 0. But insted of "MISSION COMPLETE" nothin happens! I fly around over the convoy for 10 minutes and get "MISSION FAILED"! WTF??!! I tried landing in the water near the battleship, Yeah right good luck with that! Aint happening. Is there another objective I have to get? I didn't lose 4 ships and nuthing else comes over the radio. PLEASE tell me what I am doing wrong or not doing. OR is this mission bugged? Another 505 we should patch it but we got your money so 2 bad so sad? Do I need to do this in real or sim insted? Man, help a brother flier out!

4th sub is not attacking the convoy, look further south west a good 30 min flight time,i belive its a supply boat think they're called milch cows(kav'll put me right he's the u boat expert)watch it though its got 2x quad 20 mills on conning tower , it only takes 2 depth charges tho. Then comes the hard part! get home to the cruiser, you are low on fuel and bashed up.to land do a low circuit round ship it will turn across the wind and you can land in the smoother water in the ships wake go to the leeward side starboard in this case to the crane where the mission ends.

this should get you the arctic convoy mission, hurricane off a merchant ship against ju88's and torpedo bomber 111s at least you dont have to fly to arcangel but you do get to play both sides.

Haha, yes the Milch cow is a cunning one.
All good descreption on that mission Jack. Had a hell of time getting it down there at the end with the wind and the waves. It all knocked me over a number of times.

Have any of you done the "Bomb Dresden" Mission ?
Just want to give you a tip.
If you successfully get through the AA fire and the attacking FW 190, drop your load and return home with your P-51 cover still flying. Dont think your safe.

As on approaching the channel there will be an B-17 kinda sneakink upon you, calling for cover. If you slow down and get out of formation to help it, it will open fire.
This is a captured B-17, a really sneaky, but historic correct, tactic.
You need to stay in formation and make the P-51 take it out.
Preferably with rockets.........

kav you are obviously way ahead of me in the unlocks. what unlocks the dresden mission? i went back to the d-day campaign because i wasnt happy with "search and destroy". i actually think that is a pretty good mission and recommend it anyone who wants to practice gunnery. you get to fly all over northern france and shoot up anything that moves. and i am glad they didnt put bombs on the ac for this. but straffing things gives you an eye for shooting and well, i need all the help i can get. the way the boilers blow on the locomotives is dead on from gun camera footage i have seen. but a couple trains have flak wagons on them and those can get you if you arent careful. the barges are kinda fun to shoot up. the trucks more of a challenge...but the guy on the motorcycle is tough and getting him unlocks your 51-H! my only gripe with is the same old one...that the 51 flies like a pig and you end up continually augering in or spinning at low altitude and crashing. i did find out through trial and error that it doesnt seem to stall and spin as easily if you use cockpit view only. maybe its me but it really doesnt. so i wanted to retry in that mode and it was way much better by far. so if any of you had troubles with that mission or didnt like how you played it the first time, or like i said just want to sharpen your gunnery skills try flying it like that. now i am going to go back to "operation jubliee" about the dieppe raid and do the same thing.

Hahaha, yeah i saw it to!!

The B-17, or as the Luftwaffe call it in that particular mission, the. Well the description you give sounds very familiar.....

A good mission though rather annoying. You get ordered to go, bobm the target, get through flak and fighters and come home.... only to be called a murderer!! Hmmm

We are discussing the console versions. These ace levels are only available once you pass 5,000 online kills or log 9000 flight hours

That does halve if you fly under all of the bridges on all the maps. I'd suggest the i153 for Berlin as some in the city are very low and quite tight.

It gets reduced even further if you fly under them all inverted. You will need a steady hand for Berlin

that's only for the PS3... your number of kills or hours was drastically reduced because you were lucky to get the patch! stoned panzer, one of the guys i regularly fly with told us of an easter egg short cut in berlin. there are 3 tiger tanks guarding hitler and the reich chancellery. they wont come up on your hud until you buzz that building then BINGO they are flashing yellow targets. take those out and it will get your to the unlocks a lot faster. to find the chancellery you will have to either spend a lot of time buzzing back and forth over the city...or do what i did and find and old map online and print it off. once you find a few landmarks you recognize from the map... old adolf is right down the road waiting for you. sorry i thought i had shared this before in another thread.
