Wait, are we doing wish lists?
SoW: BoB (might as well) SoW: Korea (hell, yeah + carrier ops) SoW: Spanish Civil War (this is going to be a PITA, 50 different flyables req) SoW: International Rescue- Thunderbirds are SoW! (I'm not trolling, I really want to see this) SoW: Blitzkrieg/Battle of France SoW: Flying Tigers SoW: Suez Canal Okay, I'm done for the next 10 years. WWI we can leave in RoFs capable hands, the modern stuff with DCS. There's a gap for Vietnam, Yankee Air Pirate is very good, but would love to see with decent sim engine. |

I can't wait for :
SoW-world at war SoW-Modern Warfare SoW-Modern Warfare 2 SoW-Modern Warfare again SoW-Warfare that's modern etc.... Seriously though, i think that North Africa is the way to expand SoW-BoB. Both North AFrica and the later stages going into early 1941 would be awesome |

+1.
As a side note. For SoW Korea i hope they find a way to avoid the Northrop-Grumman problem. I´m a little worried that we will not see Grumman aircrafts on the sim because of this. The F9F Pantherjet is the one i´m more interested on see as a flyable plane for carrier operations. If for avoiding paying NG means call it F9F "Jetpanther" I hope this do not turn in to another NG thread the was discussed to death several times before. Back to the original topic, i have to say that i agree mostly with the original post. I think a monthly update with a video followed by an explanation of what its being showed and questions and answers could give more indepth information about what we will have on the final sim. One problem i have, is since i´m not a graphics expert, i fail to see lot of the details that Oleg is trying to show us on the screenshots, and the fact he also do not give an explanation of what is being showed so we can discover it, makes it more dificult to see. A video and an explanation of the video i beleive would make it more interesting, at this stage of the development. Last edited by ECV56_Lancelot; 07-26-2010 at 12:26 PM. |

Only with a solid plataform, well tested engine and well debugged you can create solid series of releases and expansions.
I prefer to wait for the perfection. Hope that Ubisoft waits for it too. |

I'm with Puma on this one. I built a computer in December of 2006 to play SoW. We had just gotten the developement disk with 1946. I thought it was right around the corner. Now I just enjoy the developement updates. I take them for what they are. Work in progress. Oleg and his team gave us 10 years of fun with Il2. No reason to suspect SoW is going to be any different.
When it comes out I'll wait another 6 months and built the fastest computer I can afford. The problem with the delays is that the folks without a life start to fantasize about what it's going to look like. Then it's not precisely what they had in mind and they get upset. Oleg's the chef and whatever he serves up is what we're going to get. If that means I'll be chasing me109's flown by midgets or 110's with rudder trimtabs that are to big, so be it. Knowing Oleg's work methods he'll fix it eventually. No need to risk going bankrupt over such things. One thing I have to give to the nit pickers. I personally have learned quit a bit from their postings. I thought I knew all there was to know about WWII aircraft. Now I know that there was a Hurricane with a Spitfire spinner and an export version of the do17 with inline engines,(215B series) used as a recon aircraft and bomber. The learning continues.
