hmmmmm could be as bad as a 109 G6 for combustability lol
"The resulting design was a technical innovation resulting in a four engine creation of a seemingly twin-engine bomber and reduced air resistance as a byproduct. The initial DB 606 engines, themselves a derivative of the DB 601 types, proved unreliable and prone to fires earning the aircraft several telltale nicknames like "the Torch" and "Lighter". |

But if that trait were to be carried out into a game (random engine fires), then they should put in the negative g problem of the early merlin engined machines! That would make dog fighting a bit more interesting!

I never push anyway, rolling and pulling is quicker. That and the problem was fixed on the engines of the Mark2 spits that are in the game.

"By 1941 Miss Tilly Shilling in Farnborough had developed a partial cure for the problem. A diaphragm across the float chambers with a calibrated hole (the infamous "Miss Shilling's orifice"!) allowed negative 'g' manouvres, and was fitted as standard from March 1941. Sustained zero 'g' manouvres were not sorted out until somewhat later."
