Got today the MSI 480GTX for test. Ran quickly IL-2 Black Death and must say the card is good.

Results I got were the following at 1920x1200, 32-bit, V-Sync Off etc.

Maximum: 316fps Minimum: 37fps Average: 125fps

Still need to set and tweak as setting this Supersampling to 8x for example brought IL-2 to a crawl. But will test more, and the AA works, just override application setting and set whatever you want.

Umm.... That´s kind of the issue we are discussing in this thread... That some of us (I at least) are not able to get AA to work....



@Alpha: Tried your settings, and it looks the same. And still no response to any changes made in Nvidia.

I am using the latest WHQL's from nVidia and they work just fine. Did a profile where I set settings I desired and tested on IL-2. No problems at all.

To Alpha. Why do you have bilinear texture filtering and no anisotropic filter in on in your conf.ini? Lines TexMipFilter=1 and TexAnisotropicExt=0. Also why have the DrawLandByTriangles=1 when this was for older cards to get more performance..if I recall right. I use 0. Or do you override settings with Control Panel thus these selections?

Those are not my settings but default NV ones for all cards.

What operating system are you using ?

If Win7 Turn off UAC and try again.

I really wonder why this is not working... Setting the global settings to AA override, like you said, should do the trick... But it doesn´t..

Personally I would take Feuerfalke's advice and download nhancer, its an excellent package and allows you to tweak almost anything. If you get it let me know and i will give you my settings.

Have you tried to reset the nvidia drivers to default settings, or even reinstalling them?

Worth trying if you can't resolve this by other means I think.

There is absolutely no reason to fiddle with nchancer or even install it to get AA to work in Il2.

If you have Tir 5 the new drivers stop AA working apparently.
