I'll just be happy when it comes out. In 2005 the release date was set for 2007 (if I recall correctly).
The dev updates are nice while we wait. |

I was watching Avatar the other night and I thought to myself....."I have a better chance of living in that world than I do living long enough to see the release of BoB."

There is no way that this will be released in the Summer....everything would need to be much further along. You cannot ever get a game like this "perfect." Trying to do so is only chasing your tail!!! If you take too long the code is obsolete and you have to rewrite and catch up (sounds familiar). This game will definately have a patch no matter if it is releasede in the Summer of 2010 or Winter of 2011.

If i can say my 2 cents, (again) i don't see any final progress from screenshots.
Also the discussion about the DirectX seems at least weird to me. If i would be developing a game it would be the first thing to decide and choose\create and engine and not showing WIPs with two different DX solutions...Btw i'm not the best follower in here so maybe i'm completely wrong This given i think it will take all 2010 to finish it. |

The reason their showing some in two versons of dx is because the game will run in both, probably also because everything in the dx9 version plus some will be in the dx10 version, but they probly don't want to or can't show everything that'll be in the dx10 version yet...
to put it simply... the dx9 version is possibly more complete, so they have more of that to show... but as dx10 stuff gets finished, they might show more? |
