mystic egg +leadership level up - what does it do?

I only tried it once, but by skipping the +300 upgrade, the 70% leadership option never showed up. It looked like as it were a prerequisite... so be careful. The best ratio I could get is level 2-5, 90%+300 for 35 rage.
By the way, it probably rounds up, because I get 4 red dragons with 7000 leadership.

All fixed amount upgrades are NEVER prerequisites for % and level upgrade, and you can safely skip all of those.

The +leadership makes the egg cost more rage in a disproportionate way.

This is very true, it is basically never worth it to upgrade your base leadership for this. Waste of a level, waste of rage.
