From the clue i thought you might have guessed its in the cold war period and is soviet

Ok, so the smaller one is a MiG-15 like Vulcan said. The other, however is not a Yak. What it is, is a MiG-21. Now for me to sift through my Soviet Era Cold War Jets, and figure out the main one.... I'll be back soon.

Vietnam doesn't make their own planes, they just take what the Soviet Union gave them.
