Only the most beautiful aircraft ever made, and in that particular colour and markings of 17 squadron RAF, 1940, of pilot officer harold bird-wilson who had 6 confirmed kills in the battle of britain.

He was shot down over the thames though on the 24th september 1940, becoming adolf gallands 4oth victim

he survived the shooting down and lived on until his death in august 2000 aged 80
