The funny hat is an electronics package carried by the "longbow' version of the Apache to snoop over terrain. I love that picture, though I suspect it is probably a photoshop. It was sent to me by a good buddy who was an Apache pilot in Iraq. Here's one of him giving his little girl a flying lesson: |
